FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions we hear most often, with links to the deeper articles.
Do I need a Stripe or Polar account?
No. ShareCount runs end-to-end with no provider key — codes are generated locally and you honor them at your existing checkout. Connect Stripe or Polar later if you want real provider coupons minted automatically. See Manual codes.
Do customers need to log into X?
No. They never enter X credentials anywhere on ShareCount. The post is written on X itself; we verify it from public data.
What if a customer doesn’t use X?
Today, X is the only supported network. Other networks are on the roadmap.
How long does verification take?
Usually under five seconds. Sometimes X needs a moment to index the post — the dialog tells the customer to wait and tap I’ve posted — check now again.
Is the widget mobile-friendly?
Yes — both the teaser and the dialog scale and behave well on phones. The Custom Trigger SDK works identically.
Can I have more than one campaign?
One active campaign per product is the simple, default setup. If you need parallel A/B campaigns, get in touch.
Does ShareCount work with my SPA / Next.js / Vue / Svelte app?
Yes. The embed watches the DOM for changes, so SPA navigations don’t need re-init. See the framework snippets in the Custom Trigger guide.
Can I localise the widget?
The teaser, headline, subhead, CTA label, and share template are all editable per product. Multiple languages are on the roadmap.
How do I cancel?
From the Billing tab in the dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current period; see Cancellations and refunds.
What’s the founding-100 offer?
The first 100 customers who share ShareCount on our pricing page earn a recurring coupon worth up to 100% off. Full details in The founding-100 offer.
Can I have my own contact this for me?
Email support@sharecount.app from the workspace account email and we’ll work with whoever you nominate.
Where can an AI agent get install instructions?
The Installing with an AI agent article is written for them — paste the contents into your agent and it’ll install correctly. The agents landing page explains the full plaintext feed format and the /help/llms.txt file.
